Privacy Policy

The NestPair (thenestpair.com) is a small product-recommendation site run by Sophia and Ryan. We care about your privacy and keep the information we collect to a minimum. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect. If you fill out our Work With Us form, we receive the name, email address, brand, and message you send so we can reply to you. If you tap a "Buy" button on a product, we record which product and store you tapped and when — this is anonymous count data only and is not linked to your name or email. We also keep a basic, first-party record of page visits (which page, and roughly when) so we can see which products and pages readers find useful. To show an approximate country for that traffic, we briefly send your IP address to a third-party IP-geolocation lookup service, which returns only a country; we don't retain that IP address for any purpose beyond this lookup, and it is never shared with advertisers or sold. Like almost every website, our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. We do not run any third-party analytics or advertising platform (such as Google Analytics or a Pinterest ad pixel) — if that ever changes, we will update this policy first.

Why we collect it. We use this information to operate and improve the site, to understand which products and pages readers find useful, to run the Amazon Associates affiliate program, and to respond to collaboration inquiries. We do not sell your personal information.

Affiliate links and third parties. The NestPair is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When you click a "Buy" link and are taken to Amazon or another retailer, that retailer may set its own cookies to credit us for qualifying purchases and will handle your information under its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of the retailers we link to, and we encourage you to review their notices.

Cookies. We use a single essential first-party cookie (nestpair_session) that keeps the site working during your visit; it does not track you across other websites. When you click through to Amazon, Amazon sets its own affiliate cookies to attribute referrals. We do not use any analytics or advertising cookies.

Your rights and choices. Wherever you live, you can email us at info@thenestpair.com to ask what personal information we hold about you, request a copy of it, or ask us to delete it — for example, a Work With Us submission. If you are in the UK or European Economic Area, you have rights under the GDPR, including access, correction, deletion, and objection. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — and, again, we do not sell or share your personal information.

Children's privacy. The NestPair is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, email info@thenestpair.com and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy. As our tools or partners change, we may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision.
